1. Choosing the right and quality thermal underwear
Many of us stop cycling as soon as the weather conditions worsen, and if you are one of them, then you are missing out on the valuable benefits that winter cycling can bring you. Your body tries to maintain a normal body temperature, thus heating up more and you are burning more calories. At the same time, you are learning to use oxygen more efficiently. Also riding in the snow can be unexpectedly fun!
Here are 7 tips on what to do and what not to do when riding a bike in the winter so you can feel comfortable.

It is mandatory to have a stable and quality bottom layer, which can eliminate the need to wear several blouses. It is always good to put another layer over the thermal underwear. Choose the right thermal underwear and rely on it basically. Also, remember that when you get out before you get on the bike, you should be a little cold. Otherwise, you put too many clothes on yourself, which you will then wonder where to put as soon as you warm up.
We recommend thermal underwear Thermal underwear SCOTT Base DRI 7/8 Pant, which is selected from polyester and merino wool, which will surely keep you dry.

2. Clean your bike every time you ride
Whether you're in the snowy mountains or just riding through the snowy city, don't forget to clean your bike every time! Mud, water and snow will certainly be part of your cycling experience, which unfortunately can cause corrosion and damage over time on your bike.
A fender or two will be in a plus to protect you from mud and rain:
3. Do not neglect the need for gloves in cold weather

Surely, as soon as you ride a little and warm up, the need for thicker gloves will disappear. The best thing you can do is to wear two pairs of gloves with you - one for cold and one for warmer weather. Maintaining a normal limb temperature is extremely important for you, at least because of the discomfort that is created when you are cold. Also, if you practice winter sports, the idea of using some of your winter equipment when cycling in the winter is not a bad idea at all.

4. Protect your head …. from the cold!

We all know how important it is to have the necessary protection, no matter what style of cycling we have chosen, as the helmet is the main and most important component. When riding in the winter, in addition to wearing your helmet, we recommend that you have a protective layer under it. A buff will definitely do a great job for you. We offer a variety of models for all weather conditions.
If you want maximum protection from cold and wind, you can choose one of our balaclavas.
5. Get hydrated!

This rule applies throughout the year and should not be ignored. In winter, you may not feel like sweating a lot, thinking you don't need a lot of fluids, but the truth is that water needs to be taken constantly. If you carry a backpack with you, it is best to keep the water in a warmer place so that you do not take it too cold.
Check out some of our water bottles if you don't already have one or it's time to change it. It is recommended to change it after a while, because if it is plastic, it is not good to use it for more than a few months.
6. Take care of your skin.
Even though it is winter, sunscreen products should not be neglected. This is especially important when there is snow on the ground, as snow can reflect nearly 90 percent of UV radiation. This way, your skin is likely to become severely dry, so don't neglect the use of creams. Using lip balsam would not hurt you either!
7. Have fun!

The last but most important rule is to have fun! Remember that the bike would always make you feel better, and it works for your health! For active mountain bikers who do not practice winter sports, winter may seem like hell, but by following these simple rules, the season may never end!
We wish you many snowy, funny and memorable experiences, although the weather outside is not so good!
